Mosaic ? The Meeting of Jesus and Mary I (Fourth Station of the Cross)

The mosaic created for PróVida in Cachoeira do Sul is a contemporary work that draws inspiration from both Roman and Byzantine mosaic traditions. It depicts the Fourth Station of the Cross, where Jesus meets His mother.

Although the Gospels do not explicitly describe this encounter, they do recount Mary’s presence at the foot of the cross, where Jesus speaks to her and to the disciple John. His words carry a dual meaning: entrusting Mary to John’s care and, more broadly, opening the path to our salvation.

This mosaic highlights the importance of trust — a value that Jesus reinforces throughout His journey, from the Mount of Olives to the cross. Trust in faith and in the Father is essential, even when facing seemingly insurmountable challenges. Over time, this trust leads to salvation, serving as a powerful reminder of how faith can guide us through life’s trials.

Yes. For sizes not available on the website, please contact us — we produce custom-made pieces.

How is it shipped?
The mosaic is protected with bubble wrap and packaged in a cardboard box. For larger sizes, it is also placed in a wooden crate. It is flexible, allowing it to be gently bent, which facilitates transportation. The carrier collects it from our workshop and delivers it directly to your address.

How long does production take?

Can I change the colors and materials?
This is a common question. However, we do not recommend altering the standard colors and materials, as changes may result in a final piece that may not meet your expectations.
